Dior Homme Mr. White Jacket
Updated on February 10th, 2017 – The grail jacket from SPECTRE. The original was $5000.00 plus from Dior Homme. I think it was user steviekim at AJB007 that first called Dior as the designer, with agreement coming from TheExit148 and final confirmation from rstv. For more details on the original, watch this video on The Bond Experience.

Winter sales have basically wiped out all of previous options. So yeah, we’re getting a little desperate trying to find viable alternatives. But there are still a couple of good ones left. Starting with …
Best Option for the Dior Homme Mr. White Jacket
Tasso Elba Wool Blend Flight Jacket: on sale for $99.99
It’s got bellow pockets and a flap-covered zipper. But at this point, beggars can’t really be choosers. Comes to you from Macy’s and the fabric is a wool/poly blend. Faux fur collar is removable and they have sizes small to XL in stock.
Under $100
At this price point, we’re basically looking at leftovers from last winter. Still some decent jackets. But expect the sizing to be spotty.
Excelled Bomber Jacket: on sale for $49.99
We’ll start with the not-so-good. The jacket has a ribbed knit hem and cuffs. And there’s buttons on those non-SA patch pockets. And there is no indication that the faux-fur collar is removeable. Finally, it’s 100% polyester. The good? It’s under fifty bucks and sizes medium to XL are in stock.
Burton Menswear Navy Wool Blend Borg Collar Aviator Jacket: on sale for £60.00
Those buttons on the flap pockets may be a deal breaker for some. But the collar and large collar help balance things out. Burton’s used a (ready for this?) 51% wool, 28% polyester, 12% acrylic, 5% nylon, 3% viscose, 1% cotton fabric. Sizing is limited; they’re down to xs, small, and large at the time of writing.
Under $200
Criminal Bremmer Borg Collar Bomber: on sale for £96.00
A passable option available at House of Fraser. The non-SA details are pretty obvious. But does have a larger collar, it’s 100% wool and it looks like a true slim fit. They have sizes small to XL in stock.
Under $300
Club Monaco Wool Bomber in Navy: on sale for $239.00
Another leftover from last winter. I really liked this option and thought it captured the Dior vibe pretty well. Others didn’t seem to agree with me. Maybe it was the price? Down to a lonely size XL now.
Minimum Dawkins Wool Bomber in Dark Navy: $242.00/£150.00
Here’s an interesting option from Minimum Clothing, sold through ASOS. Fabric is 58% wool/48% polyester and it has the borg collar. But the hand-warmer pockets zip close. At least it doesn’t seem like it has the boxier shape of some of the other alternatives. I guess that you get from Scandinavian design. Only available in size XL now.
The Investment Piece
Paul Smith Navy Wool-Cashmere Blend Flight Jacket: £350.00/$650.00
I did say “Investment”. Paul Smith is being a little tricky with that “cashmere” in the product title. The fabric is actually a 72% wool/25% nylon/3% cashmere blend. The pocket design is a little funky. But at least the flaps have hidden snap closures. The jacket is part of their new season. So all sizes are in stock. And there’s a decent chance it will go on sale eventually if you’re patient.
If you find some other great alternatives, feel free to share the links in the comments. But I think we can start expecting to see more options showing up over the next month or so. I’ll keep updating this post as they appear!
For ultra low budgets (with 50 percent off), many of the key features of the Dior jacket…

Very similar jacket with the addition of buttons on the flap pockets

I have the H&M jacket and I highly recommend it. It’s a great jacket for the price. It fits well, is very warm, and looks strikingly similar to the Mr. White jacket when you remove the faux-fur from the collar. Plus, it’s rather remarkable that it contains 60% wool at a $59.99 cost. I just wish it had buttons like the Dior Homme piece!
I ended up getting the Moncler one, but returning it …. it’s a great winter jacket, but didn’t capture the look enough for me – too bulky around the mid section, and more like a flight jacket…. the search goes on!
This Moncler piece has some of the same details (color, collar, offset zipper, and pockets), and should be a decent ‘investment piece’ – definitely not a budget option, but still a fraction of the price of the Dior!

This is the most frustrating piece to try and pick up! I ended up waiting for the Royale version, but re-sold it immediately … The bright blue color just seemed way off to me. While I was picking up some chinos from one of your other suggestions, I saw this in the M&S site – the Autograph Wool Blend Tailored Fit Asymmetric Peacoat at $148. While it’s missing quite a few features that the Dior has, the color, quality, fit (and price) are all excellent. I really feel like it has the right vibe as a budget alternative…. At least until something better turns up for me! http://www.marksandspencerlondon.com/us/wool-blend-tailored-fit-asymmetric-peacoat-/p/P22461823.html?dwvar_P22461823_color=F0
Great find, Traveler! I will include it when I update the post with credit to you. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the suggestion Phil! I did see that one, but the issue I had was with the button placket covering the zipper.
